In the information society, information has become increasingly important resource after land, matter and energy. Nowadays the world every county, especially in the developed countries of Europe and Amercia, has realized the significance of Information Literacy (IL) for society, organizations, and individual. The person with IL knows its information needs can effectively acquire information, analyze information, evaluate information and accurately creatively create information based on facts. Reports from American education technology CEO forum in2001included IL as one of the fundamental abilities that people should possess in21st century. So, the training and strengthen for college students to improve their IL level must be one of the urgent affairs for recent higher education, it can also drive the enhancement for national IL level, then we must pay more attention to it.This paper sets an example of ZZ University, analyzing the problems in the study of Chinese college students IL and how to cultivate college students IL by literature law, comparative law, the survey method and the graphic method. In general, the paper is divided into four chapters as follows:Chapter one:The author introduces researching background, researching motivation, researching approach and methods, and the difficulties of the research.Chapter two:The author looks backs on the origin and development of IL, introduces the definition and standards of IL at home and abroad.Chapter three:The author introduces the connotation of college students’ IL and does research for college students’ IL to ZZ University and finds out the problems in Chinese college students’ IL training.Chapter four:The author analyzes the causes and explores effective ways and means of training Chinese college students’ IL and poses a more suitable college students’ IL training strategy. |
