The problem of economically disadvantaged students is the result of transforming society, increasing income gap and the changing high-education. It has become a major focus of society and media. Research on the moral education of economically disadvantaged college students is very important for the general moral education of college students. The research on this topic can enrich the theory of moral education for college student in new era. More important, it can widen the channel of moral education of economically disadvantaged college students, complete the whole moral education system, benefits the moral education toward more humane, scientific, systematization direction. Economically disadvantaged college students are part of the college students. But they have some their own characteristics and there are some new issues need to be addressed in moral education.The research topics of this paper are economically disadvantaged college students. This paper is based on the basic moral education theory and existing research results. It contains a comprehensive survey of the current status of moral education for economically disadvantaged students in colleges and universities. A set of creative proposal on moral education for economically disadvantaged students are provided in this paper. It might benefit to build a better system for moral education for economically disadvantaged students. We wish to see a comprehensive system that can help the moral education for economically disadvantaged students in colleges and universities.This paper covers the following four parts:First, the research background of moral education of economically disadvantaged students in colleges and universities. It covers the benefits of moral education for this special group, the overview of current status of moral education for economically disadvantaged students in colleges and universities, the research content and method. Second, root reasons of economically disadvantaged students, overall characteristics and basic education rules of the moral education for economically disadvantaged students in colleges and universities. Third, detail and in-depth analysis of the current status and root reasons for the moral education for economically disadvantaged students in colleges and universities. We did a comprehensive survey which covers the financial, moral, study and job status of economically disadvantaged students in colleges and universities. Analyze the major problems in the existing moral education method for economically disadvantaged students in colleges and universities:poor working attitude, poor organization, poor method, in-efficient system. We further analyze the reason from nation, society, college and personal aspect. Fourth, summarize the previous two sections. Illustrate the new method to improve content, working environment, rules, approaches of moral moral education method for economically disadvantaged students. This the key point and innovative part of the whole paper.
