Widespread application of computer technology and networktechnology in education field has a deep impact on the traditional mode of education.The traditional teaching mode has its own advantages and obvious weakness. Networkeducation is propitious to students’ individualization in education and autonomouslearning, but it has some shortcomings. Blending learning which combines advantagesof traditional teaching with on-line network learning achieves an optimal effect ofteaching and learning finally.The paper mainly discusses that blending learning is introduced into the teachingand study of Photographic Technology Course based on characteristics of students ofsecondary vocational schools and Photographic Technology Course. Primarily, itstudies the definition of blending learning and instructional design with method ofdocumentation. It also analyzes the theory foundations and the present domestic andoverseas research condition of blending learning and summarizes the connotation ofblending learning. Based on this, it presents the instructional design and applicationmodel in practice of blending learning about Photographic Technology Course. Thestudents in two different classes of the secondary specialized department of YibinVocational and Technical College are chosen into different teaching practice tocompare the teaching effects according to action research. The paper goes on thespecific case analysis through three parts: depth of field, composition analysis ofstudents’ photo works and exposure and photometry.The paper assesses the results of the teaching practice by students’ achievementquantization, students’ questionnaire survey and interview. The assessment indicatesthat blending learning, which is popular with the students and increases the interestsand independence of the students, has also improved the students’ performance intheory and practice, and their skills in information processing and teamworkcooperation. The experiment provides referential experiences in teaching model forother majors in our college and promotes the teaching reform of professional courses.
