Zhengzhou City, Non - PE Students Extracurricular Activities Participation Survey Volleyball

Volleyball is the only project which won the world champion in China’s three big ball projects. Volleyball extracurricular activities are not only the main form of physical exercise, but also the main content of college physical education. The method of how to promote the participation of extracurricular activities in volleyball, is an important content to further improve the sports activities after class. University, as the important station of launching student volleyball movement, play an important role in volleyball culture of sustainable development and lifelong sports consciousness.In order to promote and change the present situation of attending the volleyball activity of non-professional college students in Zhengzhou, which make the activities and games of volleyball operate in a healthy and orderly development. Finally, we can let the university students form a good consciousness of volleyball and the concept of lifelong sports, which promotes activities of extracurricular volleyball in a sustainable development way. We invest the current situation of participating in extracurricular volleyball activity of non-professional sports college students, by using the method of literature data, questionnaire survey, mathematical statistics, etc.The results show that, volleyball activity is still considered as one of the most popular sports among the non-sport major students. But, we can get a conclusion from the current situation:Frequency and duration of participating in the activities in one week are so little, fewer opportunity to take part in the game, they even don’t know the purpose sometimes. College students get the game message mainly from the television advertising, network media, newspaper, magazines and others, they lack the volleyball theoretical knowledge also. The main reasons of not choosing extracurricular volleyball activity are lacking education of volleyball during their elementary and middle school, no interest, site equipment limited, lazy and lack of skills. The main reasons of not seeing game in site are time limited, no interest and bad environment.We give some advices of reforming the extracurricular volleyball activity and games, the good environment and facilities, intensify propaganda are also the good way to promote the volleyball activity, which also can enlarge the influence. It is possible that the volleyball is deeply rooted in everyone’s heart. The physical education curriculum of College and middle school has large continuity. The more college students attend the volleyball activity, the more interest they have.
