In the context of today’s rapid scientific and technological development, innovation unprecedented attention by various industries and education paid special attention to the cultivation of students’ creative ability, scientific literacy. Scientific discovery learning this learner-centered, focusing on the development of individual students, with learning structure of scientific models, as well as new learning to adapt to the learning of information technology has been the concern. The drawbacks of the traditional learning environment to promote computer simulation technology-based science learning environment become a research hotspot. But scientific discovery learning environment with learning inadequate support, structure of the learning process is unreasonable and to explore the problem of excessive specialization and other issues. In view of this, this paper attempts to establish a more rational oriented scientific discovery learning of virtual learning environment.In this paper, first from the scientific discovery learning theories, analyze and summarize the basic connotation of scientific discovery learning, the theoretical basis, cognitive mechanisms and other issues. Secondly, analysis of existing scientific discovery learning environment to support learning scaffolding characteristics, type and design strategies. Again, research to scientific discovery learning cognitive mechanisms and related model, build domain knowledge model, discovery mechanism model and learning activity model, in order to better guide scientific discovery learning environment. Then, to understand the problem, formulating hypotheses, designing experiments, to test the hypothesis and get conclude that these five aspects of learning support were analyzed and study, in order to the study provide ideas and reference. And on the basis of these five aspects of scientific discovery learning, increase the part of explore resource library and learning knowledge transfer, and the seven modules as the inquiry process structure of scientific discovery learning environment. Finally, in order to integrate the ideas and thoughts of the above studies, and applied it to the actual, design and development of a prototype system of scientific discovery learning.
