After about30years’ development private universities grows out of nothing, frominfancy to maturity, has formed a certain scale, also has a certain characteristic andsystem. After different development period, the scope of education enlargesprogressively and the quality for running school enhances steadily private universitiesbecome an important part of Chinese higher education and cultivate millions of specialtalents for our society. They play a key role in their own positions. With its developmentprivate university is being in the transform period from scope enlargement to naturedevelopment. The ideological and political education of the students in privateuniversities is an important segment for nature construction in private universitiesconcerning its existing and development. However, ideological and political educationof the private universities is still the weak link in private universities work at presentdue to the limitation of many factors. At overall, we are not satisfied to the effecting ofthe ideological and political education of students in private universities, although thegovernments take the ideological and political education of students seriously and givesome significant instructions about it; the private universities bring the ideological andpolitical education of students into talents cultivating patterns. The main reason is thatthe pragmatically of the ideological and political of students is not enough. If the privateuniversities deal with their students’ ideological problem as the common higher schooldo, they will not realize their goals in the ideological and political education. It isnecessary to highlight student ideological and political education in private universities.How to strengthen ideological and political education of the private university studentsand improve the pragmatically is the main topic of the thesis.The thesis studies the reason of private university students’ ideological andpolitical education problem and finds the effective solutions of the students ideologicaland political education based on the realities of ideological and political education andstudents.
