Study On The Relationship Among The Population And Economy And Society Of Gansu Province

The relationship between population and society and economy is not only the coreissue of regional sustainable development, but also one of the most basic startingpoints to study all the population and society and economic issues. Therefore, therelationship between population and society and economy has attracted the attentionsof the demography, economy, and geography for a long time. Taking the new roundcensus project in Gansu province and the population and society and economic datafrom the six phase of the census data and the statistical yearbook data as thefoundation and taking the14cities in Gansu province as the research units, this paperanalyzes the current situation of population and society and economic development;By using correlation analysis and combining the classical field theory to research therelationship between population and society and economy in Gansu province and tocarry on the visualization processing on the relations between population and societyand economy in each area of Gansu province with the support of ArcGIS9.3,meanwhile, evaluating the comprehensive development level by utilizing the methodof principal component analysis and regression analysis on population, economic andsocial subsystem and providing the scientific theory basis for macro-control in alllevels of government in Gansu province.The main research results are as follows:1. Development of the population and society and economy in14cities of Gansuprovince was analyzed. At the same time the development of the characteristics of thepopulation was identified.2. Under the study unit of city, selects the representative population and society andeconomiy indexs and uses SPSS to carry on the correlation analysis. The results weredrawn that the relationship between population and society and economicdevelopment is a significant positive correlation.3. Using the inverse distance interpolation method of statistics module in ArcGIS9.3and field theory on the population and society and economic indicators in every city,the effect was reached on the distribution of the population field and economic field.From the analysis of the graphics can be drawn Gansu population and economicdevelopment in line with the electric distribution and transmission. 4. Evaluating the comprehensive development level of population, economy andsociety subsystem by using the principal component analysis method and regressionanalysis method, the results show that there was different coordination degree amongpopulation, economy and society in different area of Gansu province.5. According to the different coordination degree in the different area of Gansuprovince population, economy and society, the proposal on the sustainabledevelopment of Gansu province population, economy and society was put forward.
