The Community Residents Participating In The Ethnic Tourism Development

Since the late1990s, with the vigorous development of Chinese ethnic tourismindustry, the community residents participating in the development of ethnic tourismhas become increasingly prominent role for the achievement of sustainabledevelopment of community ethnic tourism. Community residents as the mainprotection of the ecological environment and traditional culture, is not only animportant link between economic development and environmental protection,butalso is one of the crescendo of voices in the development of community ethnictourism stakeholders. Community residents in the process of participating in ethnictourism development has not only promoted the development of community ethnictourism, but also to promote the harmonious and sustainable development of thecommunity. In order to improve the community residents’ participation in the theCommunity national tourism development process,we should start with thecontent,level and method of community residents participating in the development ofethnic tourism，then analy deeply of the problems of the community residentsparticipating in the development of ethnic tourism,so as to provide better and moreeffective ideas to promote the participation of community residents.In this paper,the surveys point is Wan wei village of Jing Island ScenicArea,using participant observation,questionnaires and thorough interview and othermethods of investigation to investigate and analys the process and status of ethnictourism development in Wan wei village and theawareness,content,level,mechanisms,Influence of community residents participatingin ethnic tourism in Wan wei village,and analys the participation of communityresidents in the development of ethnic tourism using the way of SWOT,thensummarize the problem existing in the process of participation in the ethnic tourismdevelopment,and on this basis to explore how to promote community residents toparticipate in the development of ethnic tourism,so as to achieve sustainabledevelopment of the ethnic tourism in Wan wei village...
