The issue in this paper is about geography curriculum, including the comparisonresearch between the high school geography curriculums, while China and South Koreaagainst a comparative study geography textbook also rare. In recent years, Korea complieswith international curriculum reform and operates seven time’s basic education curriculumreform and practice in Korea, combined with their own reality, with its own characteristics,and the development of textbooks. Through the comparison of China EnvironmentalProtection environmental science textbook textbooks and South Korea to clearly get toknow advantage and shortcomings of both from each other, learn from each other for thepurpose of further reach.The paper employs the document analysis comparative method, geography curriculumtheory, education theory, textbook writing theory and comparative education theory. Basingon the two countries`elective textbook, the paper mainly compare the structural system,content, elective both countries’ environmental textbooks structure system and contextsystem, and the following conclusion is revealed.(1) To both countries, the content in two countries`textbook is arranged mostlycombines with its own country and case setting in cross-countries order, which meets thestudent’s cognitive laws in theory. And it suggests that Korean textbook should distributemore image types and make it reasonable, while the Chinese environment textbook shouldtake more proportions of satellite imagery.(2) To our country: it is recommended to make an knowledge structure summary at theend of each chapter of Environmental Protection textbook.(3) To South Korea: the content in South Korean high school geography textbook istoo much, and the research activity content and discuss is also too much, which should paymore attention to the coherence between unit and unit.
