| The professional development of primary and secondary school principal has become one of the focuses of the national education policy research. The principal professional standards is the basic theory for the development of the primary and secondary school principal professional, It has been formulated and perfected by some western developed countries to promote the professional development of principals, and also has been put into trial use in the compulsory education stage of our country. Whereas high school stage as a significant segment of basic education, the principal professional standards has yet to come.This paper is based on the thought of principal professional development in our country. According to principal specialization theory and role theory, Study the principal professional standards of other state, Combined with the actual situation in our country, attempt to explore professional standards that is suitable for China’s high school principal professional development, it aims to specification and lead the principal’s professional development.This paper uses the methods of literature research, comparative research and interview research, on the basis of in-depth research and analysis of data, make the text analysis of foreign principal professional standards through the comparative research, parse the foundation of formulation, content, function and implementation of each standard; Summary and analysis the establishment purpose, the concept, the foundation, the structure system and the strategic implementation of international principal professional standards, in order to provide reference for our country, and then interview high school principals and education administrators in our country, combined with China’s national conditions, this article puts forward the idea of establishing professional high school principal standard of China.The framework reflects the characteristics of high school principal professional development for completeness, continuity and developmental by the way it effectively integrate the professional characteristics of high school principal with the principal professional concept and value, professional knowledge and skills, professional ability and behavior as its horizontal dimension, and high school principal’s roles and responsibilities as its vertical dimension. It shows the certain theoretical and practical significance for the development of high school principal professional standards in our country. |
