Academic achievement is the sum of the college students’ ability and quality, it isgenerated in the school education. People pin their hope on school education as a goodplatform for the future development of the college students, and college students canlearn more knowledge and skills, shape perfect personality through school education.The research of academic achievement is originated in Japan, Chinese scholars did littleacademic research, and even less empirical research.The purpose of this research is to study the current status of AcademicAchievement of college students, analysis the factors that affect the formation ofacademic achievement, and provide some suggestions for school education anddevelopment of students.This research takes a university as the object of study,180copies of questionnairesare given out, and170valid questionnaires are reclaimed. The investigated colleges aredivided in two types, liberal arts and science subjects. Literature is the main method tocollect research material, SPSS and excel are used to process the data. The conclusionsare educed and the comments and suggestions are given according to the conclusionand the practice.The research results are obtained as follows: first, the college students’ academicachievement is improved through the school education generally, there are differencesin different dimensions, and there are also differences between gender, grade andorigins of student. Second, women get more scores than men in thinking judgmentability, skills and expressive force. Third, the city students get more scores than ruralstudents in self-regulated learning ability. Fourth, college students need to improvetheir social practice ability, related skills and self-learning ability. Fifth, the degrees ofefforts, personal interest, learning methods are the most important factors that effectcollege students’ learning achievement.According to the result of the questionnaire, the suggestions are proposed asfollows: first, pay attention to students’ learning of systemic knowledge, it is importantfor the knowledge construction of the students. Second, pay attention to the integrateddevelopment and the development of mixed ability of the students. Third, focus on thepromotion of the students’ social practice ability. Fourth, inspire the students’consciousness of self-discipline and introspection, encourage them to improve theirself-motivation and self-perfection, the school should also pay attention to students’personality development.
