The Evolution Of The Theme Of Patriotism Education In Middle School History Teaching (1949-2012)

Patriotism is one of the deep emotions that people to his homeland, which existed inancient Chinese tradition."If you want to Cultivate one’s patriotic emotion, you need to lethim know his own country’s history ", because history is the important carrier of patriotismeducation, and it is also the eternal theme of history teaching. Therefore, we should payattention to problem of patriotic education in history teaching. In the current middle schoolhistory teaching, however, most teachers mechanically spread knowledge, does not payattention to the cultivation of students’ emotional attitude and values, what more aboutpatriotism emotion education to students penetration problem. This paper is divided into threeparts to discuss in the middle school history teaching the patriotism education problem thatdoesn’t allow to ignore.The first part reviews since the founding of the theme of patriotism education in middleschool history teaching outline (curriculum standards) in the evolution process, in accordancewith the age characteristics and the development of middle school history education and theteaching path which can be divided into three stages, namely1949-1976: the class for thespindle of patriotic education;1976-1992: relying on the national patriotism education;1992-2012: taking culture as for patriotism education.The second part to middle school history textbooks, schools are discussed in stages sincethe founding of the patriotism education material in high school history textbook in the pathof evolution, and illustrate the topic of patriotism in middle school history teaching agecharacteristics.Third part combined with the present era connotation of patriotism education content,summarizes the current high school history teaching to carry out patriotism education in someapplicable measures, such as: Guided by the rational, about the sense of law; Carry outvarious kinds of extracurricular activities, the action method and so on, to look forward forour country’s middle school history teaching to provide method and strategy for reference, forour country’s middle school history teaching services.
