Interaction Between Non-profit Organizations And Government

Social work institutions are rightly a specific category of non-profit organizations. It is the commonness as a non-profit organization, also particularity. With the rapid development of China’s economy, the social reform and environment in China also gradually change. The vast majority of people feel the serviees provided by the government more and more monotonous, unable to meet their demands. In this situation, the social work has become an important professional power to the building of a harmonious socialist society. And consequently, social work services institutions emerge. Especially in the coastal developed cities of China, social work becomes more and more specialized and professional. The development of social work institutions also gradually steps on the right track.The social work industry in Dongguan, through years of exploration and development, has initially formed its own style. It is also of great significance for the development of social work in other cities.In this article, the author tries to use the perspectives of resource dependence theory and exchange theory, to adopt observation, interview and literature analysis, etc. to analyze the relationship between Dongguan government and the non-profit social work institutions, which are led and actively promoted by government. Here, the relationship between non-profit organizations and government can be summarized into the following three main aspects:firstly, at a regulation level, government is a holistic department in society and nonprofit organizations are operated under the legal system of government. The government’s various policies, system, laws and practices will affect the collective life, individual development direction, management thinking and activities of non-profit organizations. Secondly, at financial level, the government departments transfer their own functions of public services to non-profit organizations, through subsidies or entrustment. In combination with these three levels, it verifies the problems at these levels in the Service Development Promotion Center in Community A in Dongguan, and explains them, and then puts forward the enlightenment.At the same time, this paper also attempts puts forward some feasible and operable thinking and suggestions for the development of localized social work in Dongguan City, on the basis of the above research.
