social emotion competency and social interaction skill are the main disabilities of autism. It is of great importance for autistic children to recognize and make appropriate reaction to other’s emotion. The development of autistic children’emotional ability is an ability they should have in their lifetime,for it is related to their daily life and other aspects. However, the defects of theory of mind makes autistic children’failure in recognizing the facial expressions and expressing their emotions,which have brought a lot of behavior problems and pose a great challenge to teachers and parents. Recognizing emotions is the most basic ability of emotional abilities.Therefore, it is particularly important to enhance emotional recognition ability of autistic children.The main purpose of this research is based on SETT model and preparing an individualized computer assisted instruction software on emotional recognition. The software includes the transport car cartoon,emotional pictures in PPT and adapted facial expression games downloaded from the internet.Exploring the learning outcomes and maintaining states in recognizing three basic moods--happy, sad, angry of low-functional autistic children after teaching the software.Across the behavior of single subject more independent variable is an emotional recognition teaching program designed by the researcher, the dependent variable is the ability of recognizing the mood of happy,sad,angry. The object of the research is a low-functional autistic girl who studies in children’intellectual development center of Chongqing normal university. There are four teaching activities each week. The findings are as follow after six-week’s teaching:In the happy mood emotional recognition learning of low-functional autistic child process,there is immediate and maintaining effect. In the sad mood emotional recognition learning of low-functional autistic child process,there is immediate and maintaining effect.In the angry mood emotional recognition learning of low-functional autistic child process.there is immediate and maintaining effect.
