The past two decades, with the development of corpus linguistics and second language acquisition, language teaching increasingly concerned about a new teaching theory-lexical chunks theory gradually entering the field of view of researchers. Lexical chunks, one of the most important units as the feature set of grammar and vocabulary in a language, as the smallest unit of language input, output, has a very broad application prospects in the teaching of English Writing. Lexical chunks are semi-finished language as a whole, can be stored in the memory, can be extracted directly when in use, it can improve the efficiency of information processing of language resources to ease the pressure of learners timed writing, to overcome the impact of Negative Transfer. The Chunk theory has become a trend in the research of language research and language teaching, has become a hot topic in foreign language teaching and research, it is the main component of language, language learning content is necessary. Lexical knowledge plays an important role in English knowledge structure. Effect of lexical chunks teaching method in middle school English Writing Teaching is recognized by many scholars and foreign language educators.Lexical chunk is a special kind of words in English (multi-word) vocabulary phenomenon, a study by storage, which is easy to remember and use and has a positive effect on students’ output ability. Chunk theory tries to put the word block according to the topic and conjunction of different types of summary into corresponding group. Chunk theory not only has all the advantages of lexical chunks, and chunks of memory groups can help students to remember and extraction of this block, and the use in English writing is conducive to enhance writing accuracy and fluency, so as to strengthen the text organization ability and help students expand thinking and internalize the grammar rules and so on.This paper discusses the significance of theory of lexical chunks in English Teaching in middle school, and combining with the teaching practice on the implementation of teaching lexical chunks in English Writing Teaching in senior high school, in order to improve students’ English writing level fundamentally and the quality of teaching.
