For a long time, the gap of development between urban and rural area is expanded increasingly in education resources especially which apparently displays in writing teaching. Although the new curriculum reform is actively applied to practical teaching and the new policy that the normal college students receive education without any tuition on the condition that they must serve rural education career for several years is carried out widely. The effect of these measures is not satisfying from comprehensive aspects. The twenty-first century is an era in which high technology develops very rapidly. However, many rural English teachers teach students writing in a conservative and obsolete way. It follows that considerable students can not use accurate words and proper sentences to convey their thoughts. Therefore, it is no wonder that the effect of teaching can not be embodied completely. It is extremely significant for us to explore new teaching model to improve students’writing ability in accordance with the present teaching situation. Much to our relief, with more and more specialists and scholars researching and exploration, discarding the dross of traditional teaching but maintaining the essence of it, many English teachers begin to transform thinking way of teaching, refresh conception of teaching and promote the teaching strategy. Actually, the teaching situation is improving but there is still a long way to go before achieving our goals.The aim of my study is to propose a suitable method for rural high school students in writing. In a certain degree, changing students’ way of learning is extremely urgent, that is, we should pay more attention to the importance of cooperative learning instead of individual learning from personal progress to the group progress, through the cooperation of learning individual competition into the competition in group, the passive learning transformation to active inquiry learning, fully mobilize students’ learning interest, promote the healthy development of the teaching of English writing. In the course of the study, I from Qichun Nol Senior high school, where two equivalent classes are considered as experimental objects, carry on tracking investigation to these two classes. Meanwhile, I combine the theory with my practical teaching with the purpose of testing the validation of cooperative learning for students in rural senior high school and its enthusiasm and feasibility in writing teaching.
