| Classroom observation is a kind of behavior system in class which is a new researchmethod in education and teaching. Research on classroom teaching is decomposed intomultiple observation points. The classroom continuous events are disassembled intoviewpoints from various angles. By freezing frame and scanning the different units throughthe observation points, the relevant classroom situation is described and recorded. Then weanalyze, reflect, summarize and improve the observation results. It’s a new teachingthinking mode to improve the classroom teaching and students’ study efficiency.The classroom observation research was carried out relatively early and more deeplyin Wujiang. Many kindergartens, primary and secondary schools carried out the classroomobservation research in different level types. We have certain research basis and have maderesearch achievements in different directions and accumulated abundant first-handresources of classroom observations for the front-line teachers.The survey indicated that the experimental activities was quite normal in senior highschool,but the proportion to biology course is not high. So far, the research on classroomobservation of high school experimental classroom is still absent. In this paper we focusedon the high school experimental class. The experimental class teaching of the compulsoryand the elective courses was observed in senior high school. By recording, analyzing andimproving the experiment courses, we aimed at improving the students’ learning inexperimental class and promoting the development of the teachers’ experimental teachingto a higher level and more efficiency.Through literature survey, I first consulted a great deal of research progress andachievements on classroom observation, and analyzed the condition and characteristics ineach period to validate the feasibility of the classroom observation to experimental class.Secondly, a questionnaire survey about the current situation of biological experimentalclass in high school was conducted among teachers and students. We reached the conclusion that the classroom observation teaching of biology experiments in senior highschool was fully feasibleThen, using the method of teaching statistics and classroom case, two classes wereselected in grade one which had the similar average score and distribution of the points inthe midterm exam. They were used as the control class and the experimental class,respectively. We carried out the tracking the case and the observation research on theexperimental classroom under the coordination with other biology teachers, by thequalitative and quantitative ways. We strictly followed three main links which were themeetings before class, observation in class and the meetings after class. After unremittingefforts, the final test results showed that the students’ abilities of experiment operation andself-learning as well as the experiment scores were much improved after we carried out theclassroom observation for biological experiment course in senior high school. It provedthat the classroom observation of experiment classroom deserved to be further promoted.Due to the restriction of the objective conditions, this research still had someshortcomings in some areas, such as the tracking results which excessively depended onthe relative experimental detection sheets, and the problem that was stereotyped. Thesedefects are to be further amended and improved. Finally, I listed the problems andreflection which need to further study. |
