Discrimination is a realistic problem, which involves many aspects. Almost every child has the experience of different types or different degree of discrimination. There is a close relationship between self-esteem and most of the psychological phenomenon for individual, this study examines what are the development characteristics of educational discrimination, as well as the correlation between education discrimination and self-esteem.In the1st study in which364middle school students participated, Educational Discrimination Questionnaire for junior middle school students was developed on the basis of the analysis of the previous researchers and interviews with20middle school students. The questionnaire includes five factors:achievement and intelligence, appearance, language expression, household background, specialty and skill. The reliability and validity of the questionnaire is acceptable in psychometrics.171middle school students participated in the2nd study, and they were asked to complete Educational Discrimination Questionnaire for Junior Middle School Students. In the3rd study, they were asked to complete Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale (SES) to examine students’ self-esteem. In this study, the correlation between self-esteem and educational discrimination was explored. The conclusions of these two studies are as follows:1) There is significant difference between genders of the Junior Middle School Students’ Educational Discrimination. And there is significant difference between genders in "language expression" and "appearance", but there is no significant difference between genders in "achievement and intelligence","household background" and "specialty and skill".2) There is no significant difference of educational discrimination between Grade1and Grade2middle school students.3) The self-esteem of middle school students is negatively related to educational discrimination. And the self-esteem of middle school students is negatively related to "achievement and intelligence","appearance" and "language expression", but it is no related to "household background" and "specialty and skill".
