The Experimental Study On Wushu Duilian Influencing Ordinary University Students’ Self-defense Ability

Abstract/Summary:
As the elite of our society in future, College students are the hope of our nation and ethnic and they undertake the mission of our state and country. At present, even though our society is stable and harmony, there still exist some emergencies and uncontrolled abuses which need our attention. So we should pay more attention to university students about the education and management of their self-defense in order to enhance their awareness of security, learn some skills of self-defense and reduce or prevent criminal violations of College students. To this task, indeed, Martial Arts play quite an important role. Furthermore, we need to adjust some courses of Martial Arts, increase teaching content of defense skills such as practicing each other. From this, we achieve to improve present teaching effectiveness and physical fitness and bring about self-defense purpose. And finally, it may help to change our current Martial Arts teaching situation.In addition, universities should provide a good environment to the inheritance and development of traditional culture of Martial Arts, and some guidance to Martial Arts popularization. So, we should strengthen the research of cultural connotation and education significance of martial arts, study deeply into the spiritual connotation of the Chinese Martial Arts, and increase culture identity and self-confidence of college students, so that make it fulfill the historical mission to carry forward the national spirit and inherit traditional Chinese culture better.In this paper, using many research methods such as Experimental, Literature, Interviews, Mathematical statistics, Logic analysis and so on, the author to study the current status of college teaching of Martial Arts and learn about how does practicing affect college students’self-defense capability. Additionally, the author tries to put forward the scientific and rationality of teaching Martial arts in College, and discuss its influence. Conclusion as follows:1、At present, Martial Arts courses in China University may not be quite optimistic. For example, we face the problem of lacking teaching resources and teaching materials are mainly worked out by college itself; we choose teaching content with randomness and blindness rather than technically, which can not meet the needs of college students; wc also should improve our teaching methods and make evaluation system better and better. 2、The study demonstrates that Wushu Duilian have a good effect on College Students’ self-defense ability. Besides, practicing methods, which increasing the enthusiasm of students on Martial Arts class, also bring a new and different mode of teaching to the students. As a martial arts teaching content, Wushu Duilian is worthy of further promotion in colleges and universities.This study suggests that self-defense capability should include five aspects such as defense skills, defense strategy, defense psychology, defense knowledge and physical quality. Finally, the author comes to a conclusion that defense skills should be defined as follows:When one person himself or property interests are being infringed or about to be violated, the offender could take reasonable self-defense skills and strategies to stop him from being damaged. This kind of psychological characteristics and physiological activities are so called defense skills.
