After the founding of the Ming Dynasty in1368, In order to resist military aggression of North Mongolia, to strengthen the defense of the Great Wall, Ming Dynasty set up nine defensive areas in the northern border areas, namely "Nine Important town". Which is set in the town of Guyuan in Koji fifteen years, is located in this Guyuan county. Academic study of Guyuan town more concentrated in the town of military and political aspects, or reflected in the study of "Nine Important town". Therefore, it lack of a comprehensive study in the whole town of Guyuan defense. In this paper, focusing on defense of Guyuan Town, According to the history materials of Ming Dynasty, is divided into six parts to Guyuan town do in-depth and systematic research. The first part is the general situation for the town of Guyuan, Verified the specific time of Guyuan town’s setup and the position in the northern border. The second part focuses on the reach of Guyuan’s important Castle and Weisuo. The third part introduces systems Guyuan Town Officials, it discussed from the three parts respectively, namely the civilian officer system, the military officer system and the supervision officer system and the set up of "Trilateral total system of government". The fourth part introduced the garrison soldiers there, especially their amount, setup and resource and supply of Forage. The fifth part discusses the Guyuan Town Walls system, Including sidewall construction process, castles, piers. The sixth part discusses the Guyuan town with the outside edge of Nation of military activities and trade.
