Since ancient times, Gender inequality always exist.This is caused by the traditionalgender. In the society Patriarchy is predominante, makes the women in a humble positionin various aspects of social life, especially in the political realm, women who was notinvolved in basic qualification. With the spread and development of the ideology ofdemocracy,freedom and equality, the female half of the population began to realize thatthey have to go out and actively participate in the country’s social life, it can really realizethe equality between men and women. In order to ensure that women’s equality in politics,countries are actively take measures. From the practical situation, the quota system is themost direct and effective measures, it is one of the important measures to promote women’sequality in politics. The legislative value of the quota system is special protection ofwomen,in order to realize gender equity. It is a mandatory system of women to arrange acertain proportion in politics, though controversial, it was introduced into more and morecountries, become the most widespread mechanism of guarantee female’s participation inpolitics.This paper will discuss problem is the quota system of women’s suffrage.
