Under the network environment of citizen’s political participation as a new kind ofcitizen’s political participation channels, is a powerful supplement of democratic politicsconstruction in our country, in the construction of political civilization in our country isplaying an increasingly important role. With advances in Internet technology, weibo asInternet platform manufacturing, a new type of information dissemination form, the ability ofcitizen’s political participation in China, the democratic political construction and maintainsocial stability has very important significance. However, microblog as a new media, is atwo-edged weapon, its action has both advantages and disadvantages. When it comes topolitics, government, society and citizen can be complex response and the proper control willbe put forward higher requirements to its, weibo political participation can be an effectivecitizen participation in the political channels, citizens will influence widespread exercise, howto deal with government and how to realize the reasonable public opinion, these are ourcurrent urgent problems that should be actively explore.This article mainly around microblogging and of the citizen’s political participation inChina were analyzed. First of all, political participation, the network political participation,political participation definition of some basic concepts such as weibo, applying some theoryof political participation, the network political participation of our country citizen weiboprovides a strong theoretical foundation to promote political participation in research. Next tothe definition, development and characteristics of weibo and compared with other Internetapplications, on the basis of weibo in China the meaning of political participation,development, characteristics, types and main body are analyzed in detail. Focus on Chinesecitizens in political participation problems and the causes of problems in the system analysisand the profound analysis, so as to take effective measures. This paper argues that weibopolitical participation accelerated the formation of the culture of our citizens and contribute tothe deepening of China’s political system reform, promote the democratic and scientificprocess of government decision-making, broaden the channels of political participation,improve the citizen’s political participation. At the same time in the use of weibo for politicalparticipation also revealed some problems, such as disorder of weibo’s political participation, political main body the credibility of the damaged, invalid and the deluge of false information,the digital divide and "group polarization" irrational to participate in the problem, and so on.This article analyzes its reason, aiming at the above problems, and for the government,society and citizens how to use this new weibo platform to realize the political participation ofscientific, ordering put forward concrete and effective countermeasures, so as to guide andcultivate the rational and healthy political participation, weibo for the construction of socialistdemocracy and social harmony and stability have great guidance value.
