Police mediation is one the most important parts to Public Security regular work. In21stcentury, in order to establish a harmonious society, China revaluated social significance and thevalue of mediation work, as well as explored mediation construction at the grass-roots. Policemediation is one type of administrative mediation, which plays irreplaceable role in building aharmonious socialist society. Taking legal basis, social demand, law enforcement costs, clientwillings and other factors into consideration, it is practical to maintain social stability and resolvemore and more social conflicts via the police mediation.This article starts with the analysis of the police mediation system.
