With the development of society, the living standard of our people is increasing day by day. And at the same time, the people raise a higher claim to the governance capability of the Party. In the Twelfth Five-year Plan for National Energy Technology Development, the Chinese government will put more importance on the civil service construction to adapt to the increasing demand for the governance capability of the Party. It means that the work of our civil service is growing more and more challenging, and civil servants job stress is increasing.At first, this paper goes through the related concept of the civil servants to make the definition of the civil servants, job stress clear. At the second, this paper goes through various angles and the perspective of the theory of China’s public servants to the analysis the present situation of job stress, such as pressure source theory, cognitive theory, the hierarchy of needs theory, the Peter principle. Then on the basis of the draw, this paper make it clear that the causes of civil servants occupational stress.Through the reference to the internal and external experience of civil servant’s job stress, and combining with the study on the civil servant’s job stress in the13counties in Jiangsu province, this paper tries to put forward the relevant approach to the civil servant’s job stress. This paper elaborates the approach in the organizational level, personal level and social level. Otherwise, the approach to the civil servant’s job stress is a long-term process. In order to ensure that the effects of the approach, the coping mechanism should keep normalization institutionalization.
