Analysis Of Particularly Sensitive Sea Areas System (PSSA) And Its Application In The South China Sea

In the context of constantly increasing traffic volume and dangerous cargoes,marine biodiversity conservation and environment protection are facing increasinglyserious threat. At the same time, designation and imlementation of PSSA have been apractical solution adopted by more and more coastal states as a significant policyaround the world with the reinforced awareness of a friendly marine environment,However, as a new system PSSAs have become a hot topic rencently in IMO. Thisarticle will focus on these issues raised by the process of some PSSAs and analyze theuse of PSSAs in the South China Sea through which raising the awareness by thereaders. This article will also provide a basis and some suggestions for furtherresearch about this issue.
