Ming Dynasty Xunchen Evolution Of Political Power

In the Ming Dynasty, the Meritorious Aristocrats were important social groups, as distinguished from the civil and military officials; Meritorious Aristocrats had a unique power and status in the country’s political structure. Researchers on Ming Dynasty had done some studies about the Meritorious Aristocrats, but these researchers are not yet able to fully explore and summarize the system about Meritorious Aristocrats. The political role and the historical positioning of the Meritorious Aristocrats groups are not be understudied by us. This paper intends to analyze the Meritorious Aristocrats’ political power and status so as to reveal the evolution of system of Meritorious Aristocrats and study the political influence of Meritorious Aristocrats.The paper involves the following: First, we will base on the institutions and historical events to study various system and strategy about the Meritorious Aristocrats in the Ming Dynasty and summed up the characteristics of these systems to reveal the reasons for its formation. We also may point the abuses of the system. Second, we will discuss the political power and status of the Meritorious Aristocrats. Third, on the basis of the complete system build, we can analyze this historical phenomenon——many Meritorious Aristocrats took part in the political struggle in late Ming Dynasty. By studying the causes of this phenomenon, we can reveal the drawbacks of the political system in the Ming Dynasty. Last, by exploiting the historical phenomenon that the Meritorious Aristocrats stood by the Yan Dang, to evaluate the political views of Dong Lin and Fu She from one side.We aim to combine the research on political history with the research on institutional history and combine the research on Meritorious Aristocrats with the research on the political struggle so as to explore the system about the Meritorious and reveal the composition of the political structures of the Ming Dynasty.
