Textual Analysis Japanese Way

Japanese textual cohesion research is an important part of textual linguisticsresearch in Japanese. But now, mainly Japanese textual cohesion research focuses on thegrammatical cohesion (reference, substitution, ellipsis, conjunction), the research onlexical cohesion is less. Based on the summary of textual cohesion in Japanese, from theJapanese lexis (nouns, verbs, adjectives, conjunctions), this thesis analyses anddescribes the characters of Japanese textual cohesion. In the matter of nominal cohesion,this thesis analyses mainly1variable noun, the lexical repetition and the co-occurrence.In the matter of verbal cohesion, this thesis analyses the cohesive function of thenecessary case playing in the whole text. In the matter of adjectival cohesion，this thesisprobes into the cohesion of the adjective with one case and the adjective with two cases.Cohesion posed in the conjunctions, the main analysis focuses on the linkages betweenadjoining two sentences.
