| As is known to all, Yu Hua is a controversial and influential writer in contemporaryliterature. He has maintained a strong vigorous creation for many years. At the first, he isfamous for his aggressive posture, then reverses quickly, shows the appearance of realistic.The differences of these two periods continuously to create novel impact and interpretation ofliterary world and give us a large number of problems then cause a long and hot research ofYu Hua which has not degraded for more than30years.Creative transformation is a significant subject for each writer who went through theturbulent times. After1990’s, the chance of Yu Hua’s traces of literature which have exactlyevidence is beyond dispute. But some significance is hidden behind the phenomenon of thissuperficial transformation. The ideal of avant-garde literature insisted by Yu Hua in theearly times which is continued or concluded is still an open topic. In my point, after theadjustment of narrative strategy and the form, the pioneer spirit and implication remainedextending in1990’s.Thus, after the research status of Yu Hua, this paper is divided into thefollowing three parts:The first chapter analyzes the semantics of avant-garde literature theory. After illustrates the significance about the etymology of avant-garde literature, this article firstlydiscriminates the development of avant-garde literature theory (mainly refers to the western avant-garde literature theory), then respectively analyzes the narrow sense of avant-garde literature which is a literature genre of Chinese contemporary literature and the generalized avant-garde literature which has been still asked and explored human survival circumstances and destiny with the progressive attitude. And then finds the gistof Yu Hua literary theory of the pioneering relying on this generalized avant-garde literature.The second chapter analyzes Yu Hua’s changes between his earlier and later literarycreation through the close reading of the text. In the early time, with innovation andliberation of literary concept, Yu Hua constructs a transcendental world in his text, andshows the opposite of the rational order to the public: violence and chaos. Besides, helearns a large number of form means and writing skills from Western modernism andpost-modernism, makes the text reflect the dual quirky and nihilistic absurd characteristicsin both content and form. After1990’s, the social reality, the plot and characters reappearedin Yu Hua’s paper, and the strategies and attitude tend to be simple. In addition, this articleanalyzes the cause of these changes from several aspects such as the change of contemporary circumstance, the predicament of avant-garde literature genre and Yu Hua’snew feeling of thinking.Depending on the avant-garde literature theory, the third chapter tries to cohesionthe poles of literature which are different between the early and late time and tries todraw a macroscopic literature outline curve of Yu Hua’s course literature. First of all,Yu Hua always stares at all the dilemma of human life existence and try to look fora way out whether he focuses on death in the early time or highlight the birth in the later time.Secondly, Yu Hua unswervingly notes the plight of human existence withhis familiar element such as violence, death and absurdity. Thirdly, the mature narrative techniques in the avant-garde literature genre are inherited by Yu Hua, combine with the traditional realism effectively, and creative a new form which has more depth and tension.Finally, through Yu Hua’s self-doubt and self-retort, this article analyzes his contributionand the revelation to the development of contemporary literature, and gives understandingand expectation to his new dilemma and new change at the same time. |
