Time Style

This paper, from the point of view that “time style is peculiar rhythm of socialplace，time metaphor and time practice”, discusses the influence of the change in timeconcept on mankind society practice and design activities. Time is not only the matterof existing form, but also the basic framework of the wide world we live in. There isonly one form of time, never changing and never ending. But the relationship ofmankind and time is constantly changing and generating. This is “The History ofTime” in the visual field of civilization. This paper attempts to explore the possibilityof creating new “Time Dimension” under certain civilization condition from thechange of the “Style” form of experiencing time of human in different civilizationstages. In another word, it is to inspect, analyze and elucidate the dimension ofexperiencing the time, recording the time, thinking the time and the possibility ofcreating new time perception in the process of the development of social civilization.In this sense, the design history of “Time Style” accommodated is to be inspected.
