His contribution was that he picked the most difficult parts and explained them so carefully and systematically. Ruan Yuan spoked highly of Bianfu Shili. This book represented the highest level of the research which was about antient clothes, but this book did not gained enough attention it should have.This thesis take the book Bianfu Shili of Ren Dachun as our research subject. It can be divided into five parts.The first part is introduction. This part introduces the history of the developments of the three Rituals and the author, as well as the main contents of the book. Meanwhile, we discuss the methods and the values of our research.The second part is chapter1,which makes a brief introduction to the style for editing and paraphrase of Bianfu Shili; citations classified and analyzed the characteristics of the reference literature, citation analysis academic composition of Ren Dachun.Chapter2sumed up Ren Dachun’s achievement in relationship between name and content of entity noun. He depolyed his research into three aspects:First, analysising the justifications of naming, revealing the other names of things, observing the envolvements of subjects.Second, interpretation of the culture meaning of entity noun was embodied in two aspects, explained the laws and regulations,;showed the customs.Chapter3:The use of traditional exegetical methods used by Ren Dachun includes finding name by pronounciations and finding names by character shapes. Getting names by pronounciations is agreat magic weapon of exegetical scholars in Qing Dynasty. Ren Dachun as the presentative personage of exegetics, he made a extensive use of this method. Besides, Ren also research entity noun in other methods which was Duiwen and Sanwen,inspection of the dialects.Chapter4reveals the value of Ren Dachun’s exegetical for entity noun into three aspects. Firstly, he thrived the Monographic study in the history of exegetical. He used many kinds of exegetical methods so flexibly therefore provide a good example for posterity. Secondly, Ren Dachun provided Rigorous proofs of his own opinion. His proof has a great value to Compilation and revision. Last but not the least, Ren Dachun’s exegetical provided reliable literature proofs for culture relic’s designation.
