Application Of "Dragon" Element In The Painting

In this paper, a continuous and rich scroll with rich Chinese characteristic is sketched out from the view of "illustrator", and the process integrates the visual communication, and focus on the "dragon" element, in order to penetrate into different types of creation. The illustration elements are demonstrated in several expression forms such as Illustration, painting and packaging, then summarize and link them. On one hand, the "dragon" element is sufficiently expressed continuously, for the purpose of obtain the new viewpoint of the illustrator study. On the other hand, the new solutions of the questions concluded in the national character are also seeked.Nowadays, the Chinese-style illustrator is obtaining more and more attention, and the "dragon" element can mostly represent the Chinese spirit and traditional culture. It comes from life but contains more than life, through the transformation and evolution of the "dragon" element, other elements with Chinese-style characteristics are created, and presented in illustrator works in different expression styles. This will make the picture full of Chinese style, and process the charm of modern illustration, as well as combine the traditional painting skills and commercial illustrator. Artists create more deep meaning illustrations with very traditional Chinese characteristics, and showed them via different vectors. The brilliant culture of the Chinese nation is carried forward in this way, and the national faith and spirit of the originality are insisted via the deep thinking and unremitting exploration."Dragon" element and other ethnic elements can achieve good fusion. In the illustrator creative process, learning and using Chinese traditional elements is very important in the creative direction of illustration art, such as Paper-cut Style, Shadow Art graphics, porcelain, clothing decorations. These graphics can transform, break up and reconstruction each other to form a new language, and then integrated into the illustration creation. On the one hand, it can enrich the language of the illustrator, and on the other hand, it can also further the connotation of the illustrator work.In this paper, induction, comparison, illustrating and other research methods are used to expand the topic. Logical relationship is used in the structure. At first, the significance of the "dragon" element used in the illustrator creation is discussed. Next, using method is analyzed as an important method, and this is for grasping illustration creation integrally. In the creation method, abundant examples are used to elaborate the using the "dragon" element, such as directly using, simplifying and so on. This can help the viewers to realize the features of the Chinese "dragon" element, and also understand the illustration style better. At last, the creation process is explained in detail, and the related points are emphasized using the work created by myself.The innovation of this paper is:the research of the "dragon" element and illustrator creation methods are relatively mature, but the exploring of the integration between the two studies is still relatively lacking. Though many artists have put it in use in their creation, it still not be rised to the theory. Therefore, the argument of this paper is in new field.
