Science Crown - The Art Of Dance

Dance and science have long been viewed as two different culture forms of the cultural system. Though they have different ways of thinking, expressional images and carriers, there exist internal relationships between dance and science in these three aspects. Starting from their origin and nature, this thesis focuses on relationship between dance and science, and then lists every different influence of dance on science. This thesis emphasizes that dance, as the crown of science, brings the spiritual enlightenment and beautiful feelings to the different aspects of science, clarifies the new situation that dance and science mingle in the new period, and brings them into the cultural system so as to illustrate the harmonious coexistence of different cultures. This thesis is divided into three parts, and specific contents are as follows.The first chapter:the origin and essence of science and dance. This chapter first analyzes the origin and nature of these two different cultural forms, and then compares their relationship in the process of development, which develops from inseparable relationship to momentary differentiation to mutual penetration. It is known that "the general trend under heaven is that there is bound to be unification after prolonged division and division after prolonged unification". The cycle of the cultural development is in the same situation.The second chapter:the significance of dance art to science. From the analysis of different aspects of dance, this chapter concludes that dance influences many aspects of science. Dance works reflect the process and development of science. Dance thinking provides the creation inspiration of the science thinking. Dance idea edifies the sentiment of the scientific workers. Besides, dance aesthetic promotes the scientific workers’ self-transcendence.The third chapter:the new era of dance’s integration with science. This chapter mainly demonstrates that after science absorbs and borrows the soul of dance art, it shows well compatible many-faceted cohesion and continuously reveals "beauty" and "harmony" which is not only related to the development of art and science, but also attracts the participation of other cultural forms during the process of integration, which let the dance and science, the science and humanities, and the physical state and the psychology science enhance each other’s beauty.
