Facing the fact that the grasslands in his hometown continued to be desertification, the mongolian writer Xuebo Guo, referred as "the son of the desert" by Daoyi Cui, dedicated thirty years to write the desertification. In his works, he analysed the relationship between man and nature, found out the root cause of grassland desertification, and encouraged people review and change their minds to improve our living environment. This paper aims to explore thought connotation in the novels of Xuebo Guo.This paper is divided into four chapters. The first chapter is writing the truth on the desert world, introducing the description of the desert environment, the wildlife and the portrayal of characters in Xuebo Guo’s works. Heat, drought, wind, dust storms, and the hard of work on the land, reflecting the fact that difficulty of survival and harsh environment in the desert. Xuebo Guo had a strong sense of urgency, eagerly look forward to change the status quo.The second chapter is a profound reflection on human behavior, Explore the underlying causes of grassland deterioration of the environment. Ignoring the laws of nature, people farm in the grasslands, kill the wild animals, break the balance of prairie system, these all caused by human self-centered. The release of human and pursuit of freedom during The Renaissance lead people out from the nature and become the value center of nature, and then strengthen the claim and predatory of nature. The third chapter is the actively discovery on the ideal environment, explore Xuebo Guo’s value concept after absorbing literature and culture of China and the West. On the reference from Western Literature, he reflected reality deeply. After enlightenment of Heidegger thought, he began the criticism of Anthropocentrism. The Chinese traditional culture and the national culture let him get the way leading to the harmonious coexistence of man and nature. He tried to establish a coexistence that man and nature are connected, which made people have fear of heaven and earth, conform to the nature and rules, be a natural guardian. The pursuit of freedom can not indefinitely to satisfy our desire, the freedom within certain limits is the true sense of freedom.The forth chapter demonstrates the actual value of Xuebo Guo’s novels, summarizes the literary meanings. By involving Shaman ancient songs, folklore, Andai dance and other Mongolian traditional cultural elements in the works can save the dying national culture; revealing the harsh reality of the destruction of the ecological environment can spread his own direct experience of the ecological problems and thinking of ecological ideas, Change the thought of people stand upon one’s pantofles, establish the concept of human are nature’s son; returning to nature, changing the perspective can expand the exploration of human nature in a whole new stage; creating an harmonious utopia can inspire people to aspire living in harmony with nature, leading to behavioral changes.
