Sagang Secen hong taiji is one of the best Mongolian intellectuals in17th century, and his "Had un undusun u erdeni intobqi", one of the greatest historical records among the Mongolian history at the end of the on17th century, is record in "Si Ku Quan Shu" in Emperor Qianlong period to become one of the three world’s research on Mongolian historical documents. It has become the important academic research basis on Mongolia in both Chinese and foreign academic fields.Hence one can see that Sagang Secen hong taiji not only made important contribution to Mongolian history and Mongolian culture, but also to had a profound impact on the culture and history of the world. Therefore, the historical status of Sagang Secen hong taiji cannot be replaced.300years after his death, he was still the sacred people for Mongolian and Han people, and both Mongolian and Han people have guarded his cemetery.The sacrifice ritual has been hold in two places on their own characteristics: Otsuka Tan Guta Sa Gang Ling, Da Wentan village, Jin Jitan town, Yu Yang district, Yu Lin city, Shan Xi province, and Ga Cha Mei Lin temple, Tuke town, Wu Shen county, Erdos city, Inner Mongolia. Therefore, it has a practical significance and research value to research on Sagang Secen hong taiji from the perspective of ethnology or cultural anthropology.This paper combined the literature analysis with fieldwork research methods. The literature materials mainly include cultural change, cultural identity and religious ceremonies theoretical results and history in domestic and foreign ethnology, anthropology research, and the related research of Sagang Secen hong taiji in religion, science and other disciplines. Meanwhile, the auther finished the field work in the ritual place of Sagang Secen hong taiji, and made the in-depth interviews to the participation people and related researchers.This paper consists three parts:introduction, body and conclusion.The introduction parts is mainly on topics of academic value, practical significance, research objectives, and other scholars’research summarization of Sagang Secen hong taiji in in the past, and also further elaborate the theories and methods of the paper.Chapter Ⅱ to Chapter Ⅳ are the body part.The first chapter briefly outlines the background of Sagang Secen hong taiji.On this basis, the detail information of Sagang Secen hong taiji will be introduced.Chapter Ⅲ elaborates the importance of "Had un undusun u erdeni intobqi", and then traces the formation and developing history of the ritual for Sagang Secen hong taijiChapter Ⅳ combines the fieldwork to study the present situation, the worship basic elements, content, and ritual process of Sagang Secen hong taiji, and also make detailed description and analysis of the ritual.Concluding part attempts to use the theory of cultural change, from the perspective of Ethnology to describe the ritual of Sagang Secen hong taiji in detail, and make further theoretical discussion.
