The Golden Age of Three Emperors is the last flourishing age of feudal society of China. This time of Qing dynasty witnessed political stability, economic prosperity, ideology and culture booming. The situation never appeared without dominant ideology and the cultural policy carried out by the emperor Kangxi, Yongzheng and Qianlong.Since Manchu nationality was the main body of the regime, consolidating its rule had always been a problem. So the choice of the cultural policy was of importance. The books compiled by Qing dynasty were more than any other dynasties, especially in the Golden Age of Three Emperors. Compiling books in that stage mirrored the cultural policy and rule strategy. Based on "The Prefaces of the Books Compiled in Qing dynasty" written by Zhu Saihong, this paper begins to study the prefaces of the books complied in Kangxi, Yongzheng and Qianlong dynasties, and refers to prefaces of the books complied from Jiaqing dynasty to Xuantong dynasty as well. Then, we can probe the academic environment at that time, and aim to study cultural policy, rule strategy, the influence on the society of Kangxi, Yongzheng and Qianlong dynasties.
