The CPC Central Committee decided to launch a campaign of socialist educationacross the all country in1960s. With the aim to solve such problem as thePhenomenon lots of rural cadres eating too much and improve the tight relation shipbetween cadres and the masses. Hubei province is one of the earlier in thecountry.while Macheng is one of the first and most important regions that launchedthe campaign. Based on it my thesis makes asystematic investigation.Paper is divided into three parts of the introduction, body and conclusion. Frommovement history background, history, sports content and historical role to do apreliminary study. The paper has five parts: Chapter one introduces naturalconditions and the historical background of the four clean-ups movement ofMacheng. Chapter two introduces the beginning stages of movement, including thetraining working team and the warm-ups stages of movement. The next chaptersystematically introduces the four clean-ups, namely,“clear organization”“clearpolitical”“clear economic” and “clear thinking”.Chapter four is about constructionphase. The last part summarizes the positive and negative consequence of themovement. Generally speaking, this movement renovation work style of cadres andeasing relations between cadres and the masses to a certain extent, but thismovement didn’t achieve the desired results. Stage of the movement is too muchemphasis on the class struggle, has caused great harm to a large number ofgrassroots cadres and the masses, and even suicides.
