As countries become global village, the country communicates with each other intimately. The literature books, one kind of communicate element, are widely read by the readers all over the world. As a result, the translation of the literature books is now in a new period. And the focal point of translation is transferred from language-analysis to the translation of cultural element. While every nationality has its own culture and culture is expressed in the form of language. So the words and expressions in A language (The paper refer it as culture-loaded words and expressions) won’t have equal translation in B language. So it not only brings many problems to intercultural communication, but also brings difficulties to translation. So the translation of the culture-loaded words is important for the translators. China and Japan are close neighbors separated by only a strip of water, from the view of geographic location the two countries are both belong to Asia culture group. However, the two countries have different history and diversity of nationality, they are quite different on the aspect of culture. So whether we can translate culture-loaded words and expressions of Chinese into Japanese without culture loss will be of momentous current significance for the communications between China and Japan.This paper will focus on the Japanese translations of culture-loaded Chinese words and expression in the version of The true story of Ah Q which is Lu Xun’s famous book. And The true story of Ah Q is also a famous book in Chinese literature history. There are a lot of culture-loaded Chinese words and expressions in The true story of Ah Q. It will not only help us to deepen our comprehension about the book but also to know the social lifestyle about that time, and the most important thing is that it will be helpful in dissemination of Chinese culture if we pay attention to its translation.There are altogether five chapters. In Chapter One, the author gives her study of the issue and argues for the significance of this subject and also makes the relation between language, culture, translation clear and introduces the method of research. In Chapter Two, the author introduces the research of culture-loaded words and expressions and the other research of the Japanese version of The true story of Ah Q. In Chapter Three, the author classifies culture-loaded Chinese words and expressions in The true story of Ah Q into five groups and makes a relatively comprehensive analysis of culture losses in each category. In Chapter Four, the author will discuss different ways of cultural compensation. The last chapter is the conclusion.The conclusion of this paper is as follows.1) From the research The true story of Ah Q,common base of human and the characteristics of human language made the translation of culture-loaded words and expressions possible. But there will be a limit of its translatability because of the factor of language, culture and translator, so culture losses will be unavoidable.2) Though China and Japan are both belong to Asia culture group, because of the differences of material culture, social culture, linguistic culture.3)Though the research of The true story of Ah Q, we can draw a conclusion about the translation of culture-loaded words.It’s better to use the sense-for-sense translation to translate the biology culture-downloaded words.It’s better to use the literal translation to translate the substance culture-downloaded words.It’s better to use the "literal translation/sense-for-sense translation+annotation" to translate the society culture-downloaded words.It’s better to use the literal translation to translate the religion culture-downloaded words.It’s better to use the sense-for-sense translation to translate the language culture-downloaded words.4) The true story of Ah Q contains a lot of culture download words and there is a lot of information in the culture.So how to translate the culture download words is very important.Though the research of the three translation books, I think the TAKEUCHI’s translation is the best of the three.5) when you translate the culture loaded words, sometimes you have to use the annotation translation to make your translation better.
