“Zai” sentence has a great position and value in Chinese grammar. Based on theformer ancestors’ study on “Zai” sentence, we made a specific study on thethree-dimension theory. Combining style and meaning, structure and function,description and explanation, we apply the three-dimension in related “Zai” sentence.At the same time, we also demonstrated the origin of the materials and related marks.In chapter one, we memorized the history and the present of the “Zai” sentence.We felt that although there were a lot of studies on “Zai” sentence. But still had somedefeats needed to be corrected, especially on the aspects of grammar.In chapter two, we demonstrated that the syntactic study of “Zai” sentence.According to the different usages of “Zai” phrases, we divided the “Zai” sentence intosix parts. Such as S1: NP+PP+VP. S2: PP+NP+VP. S3: PP+VP+NP. S4: NP+PP+VP.S5: NP+VP+PP. S6:NP1+VP+NP+2PP.In chapter three, we discussed the semantic study of “Zai” sentence. In different“Zai” sentence, the meaning expressed also is different. We divided the verbs into twodifferent kinds, on is adverbial verb, and the other one is the verb. In “Zai” sentence,“Zai” refers to three semantic meaning.In chapter four, we stated that the pragmatic of the “Zai” sentence. It is notenough to analyze the “Zai” sentence from the view of the pragmatic of the “Zai”sentence. We must combine the grammar and the pragmatic to research. But peoplealways neglected the study on the pragmatic of the “Zai” sentence and the pragmaticstudy value. In this chapter, we analyzed PP pattern in A sentence and B sentence, andPP pattern in C sentence, in another sentence is that if the pragmatic changed then thepatterns changed and made a comparison with them, we provided some methods tosolve such kind of questions.In chapter five, we compared the related “Zai” sentence study between Chineseand Japanese after studied the “Zai” sentence in Japanese,In chapter six, we summarized the whole text, and came up with some creationsand pointed out our own shortage. We made such achievements in the dissertation asfollows: First, we referred to the “Zai” sentence in different styles and kinds. Second,we made a deeper study on the syntactic, semantic, and pragmatic of “Zai” sentence.The last but not the least, we made a comparison between Chinese and Japanese. Andfound some similarities and differences in it, and came up with some ideas andsolutions to it.
