ObjectiveMainly through the clinic on-site questionnaire survey form, which this topic was against with the chief complaints of tinnitus. The main purpose is to summarize the characteristics of syndrome differentiation for tinnitus, to explore the pattern of syndrome differentiation for tinnitus, and to provide a reference for the study on TCM (traditional Chinese medicine) syndromes of tinnitus. Patients with tinnitus as the first chief complaint were randomly selected and determined with their syndrome differentiation through comprehensive analysis of data gained by four diagnostic methods; a questionnaire was carried out simultaneously to survey the TCM syndromes, and a computer latent structure model was applied to provide statistical data to ensure the objectivity of syndrome classification.MethodsLocation:ENT(ear, nose, and throat)Dept.of Dongfang Hospital,BUCM.Respondents:Patients suffered tinnitus firstly.Duration:In January2013to December2013Total sample:500patients. These visits, tongue diagnosis, pulse are completed by Liu Daxin and Wang Jiaxi professors.Exclusion criteria:exclude external auditory canal occlusion, middle ear disease, nasopharyngeal careinoma, acoustic neuroma, brain trauma causes clear tinnitus; By excluding pulsatile tinnitus, the click of the palatal myoclonus throat, eustachian tube unusually open breathing from ear around the body. The SPSS13.0software was used to analyze the database. Main analysis500cases of tinnitus samples, age and gender groups characteristics, TCM syndrome type distribution. A computer latent structure model was applied to provide statistical data to ensure the objectivity of syndrome classification.Results1. The general situation500tinnitus patients involved in the investigation, with male to female ratio of1:1.5. The oldest is92years old, and the youngest is14-year-old. The average age is49.6years. The age of patients showed a normal distribution, up to35years old to36-year-old patients, including80%people. Syndromes of tinnitus could be divided into five types, including spleen deficiency (63%), upward disturbance of liver fire (19%), insufficiency of kidney essence (9%), stagnation of phlegm-fire (6%) and invasion of wind-heat(3%).2. The result of a computer latent structure model:According to the hidden variables, and the relationship between the signif icant variables(symptoms). And will be hidden variables Y4(syndrome) summed up as:"spleen deficiency"ConclusionThe treatment of tinnitus from differentiation spleen deficient, Tinnitus cause spleen deficient caused by loss of health, which has significant differences with traditional kidney empty tinnitus, because tinnitus dialectical laws has changed, and spleen Obsessed with the taste of ears play an important role.Treatment based on syndrome differentiation is the essence of TCM. So to carry out large sample size of tinnitus research helps provide objective basis for treatment.
