Tranditional Chinese Medicine believes that lower back pain is the pain in the one side or both sides of the waist as the main symptoms of the disease. As be the important part of the waist and participants of lumbar muscles, lumbar skeletal muscle injury is one of the important causes of the pain in waist, and very common in life.Because of the damaged bone recovery is very slow and is not incomplete or even permanent unfunctional recovery, so the skeletal muscle injury in sports traumatology is an important problem.While the damage of Skeletal muscle cell includes inflammation, apoptosis and necrosis,et al;it also constantly engage in the repair and regeneration, including the improvement of microcirculation,whish is the basis for the body’s physiological and pathological tissue repair and damage healing, the improvement of microcirculation including neovascularization.In previous studies of skeletal muscle injury and repair experiments, creatine kinase(CK) is commonly used by indicators of muscle damage assessment;Ca2+in skeletal muscle cells is directly proportional to the increase in the degree of muscle cell damage, Ca2+increased intracellular irreversibility is one cause of the destruction of the cell structure,so the change of Ca2+in cell often assess as one of the indicators of cell damage and metabolism. Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)is one of the most important vascular endothelial growth factor, which plays an important and indispensable role in vascular regeneration after injury; Microvessel density(MVD)is used in the research of myocardial ischemia, cancer, cerebral infarction, stroke,which is an important indicator in assessing local tissue angiogenesis situations. As be an important part of TCM system,acupuncture can stimulate the running of qi,dredge the merdians, chang qi and blood,regulate Yin and Yang,it also can relieve pain, sedate, increase blood flow, reducing blood flow resistance, improve the microcirculation and promote angiogenesis.Objective:By studying the effect of Electroacupuncture(EA) BL40on general observation,local tissue morphology, serum CK levels, Ca2+levels in the cell, compare the expression variation of VEGF and MVD in the psoas muscle, and discuss the posible mechanism of EA BL40repairing the psoas muscle damaged from the perspective of angiogenesis.Methods:32male rabbits were randomly divided into the EA BL40group,EA Ouch Point(OP) group,model group and the blank group.The model group,EA BL40group,EA OP group were modeled by psoas muscle bruised.After that,the EA BL40group,EA OP group were controlledby electroacupuncturetreat-ment.Materials and indicators content were detected after14days.Results:After1day,and compared with the blank group, the general observation score and the serum CK in the EA BL40group、EA OP group and model group were increased (P<0.01).After14days, Compared with the blank group, the serum CK and VEGF levels, Ca2+concentration in the cytoplasm and mitochondria of the psoas muscle cell,and the expression of psoas muscle VEGF and MVD in the model group were significantly increased (P<0.01);the general observation score. the serum CK, Ca2+concentration in the mitochondria of the psoas muscle cell,and the expression of psoas muscle MVD in the EA BL40and EA OP group were significantly increased(P<0.05),but the Ca2+concentration in the cytoplasm and mitochondria and the expression of psoas muscle VEGF was not statistically different (P>0.05).Compared with the model group, the local tissue morphology score,the serum CK and VEGF levels、Ca2+concentration in the cytoplasm and mitochondria、the expression of psoas muscle VEGF and MVD in the EA BL40and EA OP group were decreased (P<0.01). There was no statistically significant difference between the EA BL40group and EA OP group in the the serum CK and VEGF levels、Ca2+concentration in the cytoplasm and mitochondriaand the expression of psoas muscle VEGF and MVD (P>0.05).Conclusion:After14days rabbit psoas muscle injuried,EA BL40can reduce the serum CK levels,reduce the Ca2+concentration in the cytoplasm and mitochondria of the psoas muscle cell,and promote psoas muscle damage repair,the mechanism may is electroacupuncture can regulate the expression law of VEGF to advance its role in angiogenesis,reduce capillary regeneration time to reduce the time of the part of the regeneraed microvascular gathered into a large blood vessels or the time of autologous closure,so can cut down the expression of microvessel density.
