Study Of Two Guizhou TFE On ALX Inducible Glucose In Diabetic Mice And Related Factors

Objective:To study the effects of TFE from Epimedium acuminatum and E. Leptorrhizum grown in Guizhou on the blood glucose and related factors of diabetic mice induced by ALX.Methods:Kunming mice of clean grade were fed with high-fat diet for6weeks, then single intraperitoneal injection of2%ALX solution (200mg/kg). To establish type Ⅱ diabetes models. The drug groups are given TFE of100,50mg·(kg·d)-1. Once a day,for14days. During the dosing period, we observe the urine volume, appetite, mental status, body weight and the amount of water.After14days, fasting for12hours, Weighing and kill the mice. Then determine the level of TC、TG、HDL-C、 LDL-C、FINS、Cpeptide、SOD、MDA、FBG、OGTT、ITT、ISI、Pancreatic index. Kidney index by several times, HE dyeing, pancreatic pathological sections to observe the morphologic changes of pancreas in mice.Results:High fat diet for6weeks with a single intraperitoneal injection of ALX(200mg/kg), the model is stable, the success rate is high, can meets the requirement of the experiment.However.Pharmacodynamics experiment results show:TFE from Epimedium acuminatum Can significant against the decrease weight, Improve polydipsia polydipsia phenomenon, regulat blood lipid, reduce FBG、FINS、Cpeptide, improve OGTT、ISI、Pancreatic index. Kidney index, if in high dose, TFE from Epimedium acuminatum have certain antioxidant effect. However TFE from E. Leptorrhizum have no obvious effect. Only in high dose,it can partly improve the Pancreatic index.The pathology results show:TFE from Epimedium acuminatum has a good protective effect for pancreas.Conclusion:After treated with TFE from Epimedium acuminatum14days, the general symptoms has improved, blood lipid、FBG、FINS、Cpeptide、OGTT、 ITT、ISI、Pancreatic index、Kidney index have improved, pancreas also has a good effected. So,Epimedium’s active ingredient on diabetes has great relationship with icariin.
