SCI Source Journals Database Of Nearly Three Years Of Acupuncture Domestic Scholars Have Published Articles About Acupuncture Analyzed

Purpose:Evaluate and summarize the experimental acupuncture and clinical research papers published in SCI, find the guidance for the acupuncture research, and the writing and submission of SCI papers by Chinese authors.Materials and Methods:Searching online via Web of Science database, using "Acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping" as keywords, with published since year2012as another searching strategy. There are total12journals could be used as important reference to acupuncture, find out the paper published by Chinese authors, evaluate and summarize from the published journal types and impact factor, disease involved in the journal, related therapy, biophysics characteristics of meridians and acupoints, nature, understanding about acupuncture mechanism, adverse acupuncture events, efficacy evaluation criteria, and the writing and translation skills.Results:1. The impact factor about the14journals, which has the Chinese authors’papers published by SCI from2010to2012According to the14journals categories, they belong to Medical class, while the general medicine and alternative medicine in the subclasses. They are Alternative Medicine Review、INTEGRATIVE CANCER THERAPIES、Evidence-based Complementary and Alternative Medicine、JOURNAL OF ETHNOPHARMACOLOGY、 ALTERNATIVE THERAPIES IN HEALTH AND MEDICINE、JOURNAL OF ALTERNATIVE AND COMPLEMENTARY MEDICINE (see the addendum1). ALTERNATIVE THERAPIES IN HEALTH AND MEDICINE、ALTEX-ALTERNATIVEN ZU TIEREXPERIMENTEN are out of SCI in2012. Treatment and disease types includedThere are31papers published by SCI from2012, which has22about treatment,9on the basic research about mechanism of acupuncture, and effects on mer idian. The acupuncture is the main treatment, then with moxibust ion, auricular needle and other treatment according to the treatment on the paper.All of the10papers included are on the acupuncture treatment on disease, mainly for the treatment of blood circulation, nerve, movement disorders; there are13papers related to galvano-acupuncture, while6on galvano-acupuncture treatment, and7basic research on galvano-acupuncture mechanism, mainly on treatment about nervous system; one paper on moxibustion on visceral hyperalgesia;2papers relared to massage on hypertention and neck pain;2papers related to auricular needle treatment on insomnia and chronic back pain; another3papers on therapies included the interstitial laser acupuncture, the Herbal Compress points, and the points pressure; one paper related to disease, two related to basic research on mechanism of acupuncture, with ch’iyangkuan, Yongquan, related to hypotention.3. We should strengthen modern research on the mechanism of acupuncture meridians and acupoints effect, specific on high-quality research; give favorable evidence on scientific acupuncture.
