Clinical Observation Of Primary Hemifacial Spasm Xifeng Antispasmodic Acupuncture

Purpose:The idiopathic facial spasm is one of common neurology diseases, tendingto afflict middle-age women.It presents as orbicularis oculi muscle interruptedconvulsions in the early stages.The clinical manifestation are: interruptedparoxysmal twitch, often involved single side of facial muscle.The articlewatches out wind-extinguishing and antispasmodic acupuncture therapy to theidiopathic facial spasm clinical curative effect, and tries to state itsmechanism.Method:42patients who are qualified diagnosis as idiopathic facial spasm aredivided into two groups: treatment group and control group. The treatment groupuses the wind-extinguishing and antispasmodic acupuncture therapy cooperatedwith routine western medicine therapy.The control group uses the routine westernmedicine therapy.A daily acupuncturing, acupuncturing five days a week, restingfor two days, lasting one week is a course of treatment, and three courses intotal.The article uses the standers of therapeutic effect made in the secondsymposium of encephalopathy Branch of the Association of Chinese Medicine inChina in2010as the evaluation.Using the evaluation of the facial spasmcombining traditional Chinese and western medicine and curative effectevaluation standard(draft)【3】, which is passed in the second symposium ofencephalopathy Branch of the Association of Chinese Medicine in China in2010.All the statistic data are analyzed by SPSS17.0.Results:1.After3courses of treatment, in the treatment group, the significantefficiency is71.43%, the efficiency is23.81%, the total efficiency95.24%,the inefficiency is4.76%.In the control group, the significant efficiency is38.10%, the efficiency is33.33%, the total efficiency is71.43%, theinefficiency is28.57%.2. By statistical analysis, the total efficiency and significant efficiency oftreatment group are better than those of control group (P<0.05). 3. By statistical analysis, treatment group course of treatment is shorter thanthat of control group, there is significant difference (P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Wind-extinguishing and antispasmodic acupuncture therapy combined withconventional western medicine therapy and simple application of conventionalwestern medicine therapy in the treatment of idiopathic facial spasm all havegood clinic curative effect, but the former is more remarkable.2. Wind-extinguishing and antispasmodic acupuncture therapy cooperated withroutine western medicine therapy has high significant efficiency and totalefficiency, especially having the advantages in short course, which is worthin clinical popularization and application.
