Hypertension,also known as primary hypertension,is a clinical syndromemarked by elevated arterial pressure in the systematic circulation.it is anindependent disease manifested mainly as the elevation of the blood pressurewith unidentified cause.It is the most common cardiovascular disease.It may leadto severe complication of the heart,brain and kidneys and it is one of the riskfactors for stroke,coronary heart disease and renal insufficiency.In recentyears, the prevalence of hypertension showed an upward trend year by year. Ithas become a disease which seriously endangers people’s health.With thecontinuous development of medicine, the understanding of TCM for hypertensioncontinues to be deeped.According to its clinical manifestations,this diseasefalls into the categories of “vertigo”,”headache”in TCM. Modern physiciansof TCM have made great progress in the research of its pathogenesis and treatmentwith syndrome differentiation,and the clinical curative effect is significant.Professor Yurui uses the theory of “regulate spleen and stomach to makefive zang-organs fit”, searching for the primary cause of disease in thetreatment. From the treatment of spleen and stomach system,and deeply analysisand treat hypertension.She thinks that the key pathogenesis of hypertensionis weakness of spleen and stomach.Based on the basic principle of “make thespleen and stomach vigorous,activating functional activities of qi”, it isdivided into five types clinically to be treated, including deficiency of stomachand spleen type,deficiency of spleen yang type,phlegm-turbidity obstructingthe middle jiao type, hyperactivity of liver due to deficiency of spleentype,deficiency of spleen and kidney type,and stressing balancingemotions,treatment in accordance with individuality and dietetic therapy andhaving achieved good effect.
