Basic Research Cachexia Of Cancer Treatment Carboxyamidotriazole Evil

Objective:To investigate the preventive and therapeutic effect of CAI on cancer cachexia occurred in mice with advanced Lewis lung cancer and clarify the underlying mechanism.Methods:LLC cells were injected into subcutaneous tissue of the right axillary fossa to establish the advanced lung cancer cachexia model, animals were divided into four groups randomly:normal control group(NC), solvent control group(PEG400), CAI protective group(CAI-P), CAI therapeutic group (CAI-T). Observe the changes of life quality of the animals, including weight and the consumption of food, and the level of TNF-a and IL-6were measured by ELISA.Results:The mice in armpit cavity implant group were easier to show losing weight and anorexia. Except the normal control group, the consumption of food and the weight of each mouse in CAI-P group and CAI-T group was significantly higher than PEG400group (P<0.05). In both CAI-P group and CAI-T group, the volume of tumor was smaller than PEG400group(P<0.05). In both CAI-P group and CAI-T group, TNF-a and IL-6were less than PEG400group.Conclusion:CAI is helpful to improve the life quality and syndrome of lung cancer cachexia.
