BackgroundOsteonecrosis is the death of bone that results in the collapse of the architectural bony structure, leading to joint pain, bone destruction, and loss of function2. Multiple factors have been implicated in the development of osteonecrosis of the femoral head (ONFH). In particular, non-traumatic ONFH is directly or indirectly related to injury of the vascular supply to the femoral head1. And recently, the Jung Min Hong found that the gene polymorphism of the IGFBP3had relationships with ONFH.1. To identify the patients ratio of different ONFH types.2. To identify the relationship between IGFBP3gene polymorphism and ONFH with SNPs.3. To identify the relationship between the SNPs and different types of ONFH patients.4. To identify the relationship between SNPs and different races.A total of64unrelated patients with ONFH and78unrelated control subjects were consecutively enrolled at the Peking Union Medical College Hospital from2010to2011. And according to the database of the hapmap phaseⅡ, we choose tag SNPs follow the rule of MAF>5%and r2<80%. We get DNA from the blood sample by QIAamp DNA Blood Mini Kit. And then do Snap-shot. There were no gene polymorphism in rs17847676, rs2453839, rs357127173. In the association analysis between SNPs and ONFH based on alleles and the genotypes,we got no postive SNPs4. In the association analysis between the SNPs and different ONFH subgroups, there’s no postive SNPs.
