The double beam bridge crane is selected as research object with the ratedload lifting capacity of200t and the span of31m. It has many advantages suchas compact structure, convenient and flexible operation and big elevatingcapacity and operating range. It’s mainly used for hauling large parts and heavyequipment within the plant such as large petrochemical container, large castingsand forgings, large transformer and large power equipment so as to obtain highwork efficiency. In view of the domestic bridge crane’s deficiency in conventional design, dynamics simulation is adopted in the design and analysis process whichsimulates the operation state of bridge crane in the different conditions, obtainsthe corresponding parameters and improves the shortcomings of conventionaldesign method. First of all, the geometrical parameters of bridge crane aredetermined through the conventional design; Secondly, the correspondingdynamic mathematical model is established and the kinetic equation of bridgecrane is deduced using Lagrange method to analyze the displacement and loadwith the change of time according to the crane hoisting working condition andthe operating conditions of crane cart and the car; Finally, the wire rope modelis studied which is of important influence on the simulation, and the assemblyof bridge crane model and analysis of rigid body dynamics simulation arecompleted in ADAMS.Dynamics simulation analysis of200t bridge crane contributes toovercoming the shortcomings derived from traditionally static design methodsand the finite element analysis method that can not evaluate the the machinedynamic performance. The computer technology including the design, simulation and analysis is applied in the bridge crane design which improves thereliability and economical efficiency, shortens the design cycle and is ofimportant significance.
