Application of non material culture in city landscape can not only reveal a cityregional character, but also to protect the local traditional culture. This article from theactual project the author participated in the beginning, shows the regional traditionalculture in the river, and from the angle of art to seek a kind of intangible culturalheritage system in city water system landscape in demonstrate the feasibility of themethod--open museum water. Through the Yueyang Wang River Basin culturelandscape corridor of the city space form, arouse the people for the analysis of thereturn of traditional culture and self root, the intangible culture into modern people’slife. In this paper, the main points of the research of Yueyang Intangible CulturalHeritage Museum open application in water into five parts.The first part is introduction, research background, the research of the problem to besolved, and the related research methods and ideas are explained.The second part, the related concepts of intangible cultural heritage, the collection,integration, in the area of Yueyang regional history and related intangible culturalheritage data at the same time, this paper analyzes the characteristics and values oftheir.The third part, analysis of research on domestic and foreign water culture landscapefirstly, and summarizes the classified. Secondly, combined with Wang River Basinwater, green land, plant and animal habitat ecological environment analysis, proposedthe establishment of design water open museum Wang River Basin of Yueyangintangible cultural heritage, and the idea of planning water open museum aredescribed.The fourth part, mainly in art and design are discussed.
