Design And Implementation Of Automation Systems Sale Of Drugs

Recently, self-service terminals are wildly used in medical, hotels, supermarkets, and other fields, which appearing gradually changes the way people travelling, reserving, shopping, and getting medical services. Not only does the self-service terminal bring convenient and efficient services to users, but provide a new business model for enterprises and businesses. As a comprehensive product of self-service technology and intelligent medical technology, medicine vending machine has been widely used in foreign pharmaceutical retail sector and hospital pharmacy. But interiorly, it started coming into view only in recent years. This paper discusses a medicine vending system, which integrates local management system, sale system and condition monitoring system. Through control systems and actuators, it can achieve a24-hour automated unmanned sale of drugs and digital management of devices.By analyzing hardware and software requirements of the medicine vending system, this paper gives the overall design of the system, including architecture of the slave computer’s control system and main function modules of the host computer’s software system. Details of the slave computer’s design and implementation are as follows:taking MSP430as microprocessor, completing the circuit design of power module, clock module, communication module, memory module and motor drive module, as well as the software design of the embedded system. Then through analyzing the data software system relying on, data sheets are established by New Orleans’ method. For the software design of host computer, C++Builder is adopted to realize serial communication module, socket communication module, sales module, management module, etc. Additionally, multithreaded design method under Windows system is discussed.At last, each unit module of the system are tested and as a whole, the tested results meet the desired design requirements.
