Tunneling trolleys of Boomer series made by Atlas Copco in Sweden have much good performance, and many mine enterprises has adopted them. Because of long-playing, high strength, full load and other questions, some non-expendable structural parts of these trolleys often brake down. The propulsion compensation crank arm is one of key components.In the management of such equipment, common fault is found cracks and fracture in a crank arm the dismantling process, the fracture directly lead to promote beam falling, if a failure occurs during the operation of the maintenance staff maintenance and lubrication or drilling process of adjustment, falling forward beam has hit the possibility, in accordance with the requirements of the mine safety management, the equipment failure is not allowed to happen, although the probability of equipment failure occurred in the equipment management in the small, but may cause serious consequences, is listed as a major risk sources of equipment management, the fault detection, compensation for the crank arm push on BOOMER281bogie structure strength, fatigue life, reliability for repair research, first is to solve the problem of management of equipment, reduce the equipment maintenance cost;second is to improve the equipment safety; third is to improve the level of equipment management through research.(1) Based on3D model, the boundary conditions of crank arm were studied. And according to the finite element strength analysis method, the stress-strain was calculated and the major factors of rupture failure for crank arm were gained.(2) Based on strength calculation of crank arm, the fatigue life of crank arm was calculated and simulated. The average fatigue life was forecasted under alternating mechanical load conditions.(3) The reliability maintenance of crank arm was researched, and feasibility solutions for crank arm repair were studied. According to this research, a set of maintenance solution was proposed. And long-term test verified practical feasibility of this solution.
